民國86年 6月13日
經濟部核准「八大國際傳播股份有限公司」設立登記經營GTV27綜藝與GTV 28綜合兩個有線電視頻道，確立業界舉足輕重之地位。
民國88年 8月 3 日
新聞局核發衛星廣播電視事業執照。
民國89年 1月15日
第一家也是全國唯一的戲劇專業頻道－八大戲劇台成立，引領台灣戲劇更加多元、國際性。
民國90年 7月10日
經濟部核准變更公司的名稱為「八大電視股份有限公司」。
民國91年 4月24日
八大綜藝台更名為 GTV第 1 台。更加完整呈現屬於台灣人的全方位頻道。
民國91年 5月 6 日
成立新聞部。製播新聞及新聞性節目，媒體經營內容更趨多元化。
民國95年 5月 1 日
GTV 企業大樓落成 ， 完成進駐 。 數位化作業全面展開。
民國95年12月 4 日
台韓合資韓流頻道，娛樂 K 台開台。

MOEA approves the registration of Gala International Broadcasting Co., LTD, which runs GTV 27 and GTV 28 and established the company’s business identity.
Aug 3, 1999
GIO issues GTV’s satellite broadcasting license.
Jan 15, 2000
Establishment of GTV Drama, the first and only drama channel in Taiwan, introducing variety and international flavor to local drama programs.
Jul 10, 2001
MOEA approves the application to rename the company as Gala Television Corporation.
Apr 24, 2002
GTV Entertainment changes its name to GTV One, a multilateral channel showing a wide array of programs.
May 6, 2002
The launching of the News Department producing news and TV forums, adding more choices to TV programs and boosting multi-purpose media management.
May 1, 2006
GTV Enterprise Building lnauguration and Officiated.Now Our fully digitalized TV channel is put into operation.
Dec 4, 2006
